- Prioritize funding and incentives for teacher recruitment and retention that offers flexibility for districts to address local staffing needs.
- Continue to focus on addressing learning loss due to absenteeism from pandemic without tying the hands of districts and educators.
- Increase the Safety Allotment with maintained flexibility.

IMPROVE ACCOUNTABILITY/FOR CHARTERS/OPPOSE VOUCHERS
- Improve notification timelines of proposed charter school locations by requiring charter schools to notify impacted school districts upon the purchase of property.
- Require voter approval of a new charter within the ISD where it will be located.
- Prohibit charters from being located in proximity to high performing ISD campuses.
- Conduct charter school board meetings in public, allowing for public testimony within proximity of where the campus is located.
- Require SBOE approval of charter school expansion amendments.
- Oppose a voucher program of any kind.
