How are public school districts across the state addressing enrollment, resources, and competition? They’re building community and ensuring they recruit and retain students and educators.

Pflugerville ISD, in partnership with PBK, will share insight into how Pflugerville ISD, a former fast-growth district, is managing the life cycle of fast growth. Join us for a hands-on experience to learn about the planning and development of the district’s cutting-edge Learning and Technology Center. 

Together, PBK and the district transformed an aging, 56,000‑square‑foot former grocery store, most recently used as a church, into a dynamic learning and technology center. Nestled within a neighborhood shopping center and just steps away from the district’s Administration offices, the building is accessible to the larger community and offers the district a central home for professional development, large district and community events, interactive workspace, and opportunities for Pflugerville schools to expand their reach. 

Come learn about ways public school districts are innovating to recruit and retain teachers and students, while continuing to be “destination districts,” communities where businesses and families want to live, work, play, and educate the next generation of Texans. 

Public school leaders, community members, and business leaders are invited to join Fast Growth School Coalition, Pflugerville ISD, and PBK on November 17.

• Enjoy a hands-on tour of the new Pflugerville ISD Learning and Technology Center and see how technology is being leveraged to transform educator and student learning.
• Learn more about the future vision of Pflugerville ISD and best practices that all public school districts can consider to “meet the moment” in an increasingly competitive landscape.
• Over a catered lunch, participants will engage in small group breakout discussions on a timely policy topic impacting public school districts, with a look ahead to the next Legislative Session.
